• You MUST have a passport if you are not a Canadian citizen.  Apply for your passport immediately.
• Visas are required as well for citizens of some countries.  Canada's Official Visa and Immigration Site explains what is needed for a visa application.

Suggestions for Applying for a Visa

• CONTACT YOUR TRAVEL AGENT.
  • Find out what you need to do and do it as soon as you receive your official invitation.
• CONTACT YOUR UNIVERSITY EXTERNAL AFFAIRS OFFICER.
  • Get an official letter of support from your university for each of your party.
  • Get an official letter of support from a political figure supportive of your university.
  • If you have a scholarship or other grant that supports you as a student, get an official letter verifying that fact.
• CONTACT THE World Finals Host Desk for assistance in preparing documents for visa applications.  For each traveler, provide the following information:

• Take your passport, invitation letters (from both ACM-ICPC and Host - University of Alberta), and all support documents.
• If asked for financial records, make sure they are official.
