The contest drew students from colleges and universities throughout the Greater New York Metropolitan Area, including areas of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Winners selected from regional contests on six continents advanced to the ACM Programming Contest World Finals in Vancouver, B.C., to compete for bragging rights and scholarships.
