Each fall (north of the equator), every ACM region worldwide holds a regional programming contest. Each contest provides the mechanism for selecting the top teams in the region, and to identify those teams that will advance to the annual World Finals of The ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest. The 27th Annual ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest Finals will be held March 22-25, 2003 in Hollywood, California at Merv's Beverly Hilton Hotel. This year the contest is again sponsored by IBM. The ACM North Central Region includes Minnesota, Wisconsin, Western Ontario, Manitoba, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas. As it is difficult for some teams to travel to a single site for the contest, the contest is held as a distributed contest hosted by volunteer schools across the region. Teams interested in competing contact the satellite sites at one of the volunteer schools to reserve a slot in the contest. The regional contest will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2002. |
