1. Assemble one or more teams of three eligible students each.
2. Register your team(s) before the deadline.
3. Notify your site coordinator if any of your teams will be using Pascal.
4. Understand the regional contest rules.
5. Be familiar with your site's facilities.
6. Help your team(s) practice.
7. Arrange for transportation to and from the contest.
8. Team coaches also serve as local site judges. Learn about judging.

Note! Teams must have exactly three members, plus an optional reserve. You must enter the team members and reserve (if you have one) into the ICPC system by the registration deadline. Only registered students will be allowed to compete. If your registration is not complete by the deadline, your team will be dropped.
